Insurance tip: Because you have a duty to supply a list of stolen or destroyed items, make an inventory of your personal property and back it up with a video. Mention the approximate value as you videotape  and store the inventory and video off-site (preferably in a safe deposit box) so that it can be retrieved in time of need.
